Best Times to Visit
June to September, December to February: The best time for gorilla trekking is during the dry seasons when trails are less muddy. Wildlife viewing in Akagera National Park is also best in these months, while birding in Nyungwe Forest is superb year-round.

Yes, a gorilla trekking permit is required and we will ensure it is booked well in advance. Permits currently have an additional cost and support conservation efforts.
What should I wear for gorilla trekking?
Wear long-sleeved clothing, waterproof hiking boots, gloves, and a rain jacket. Trekking can be challenging, so a walking stick (provided) is helpful.
Can I combine Rwanda with another destination?
Yes! Many travelers combine Rwanda with Tanzania or Kenya, extending their trip from gorilla trekking to the Serengeti or Maasai Mara.
